As someone with nothing officially to do with Street Pastors I have no right to be writing this.

Band Night

Youth and Children

The band night that happened on the 3rd March was a very successful night. Approximately 75 young people enjoyed 4 bands. All the bands were linked with the church and a good night was had by all, including the adults.
The bands were: Borderline who formed at Boys' Brigade in 2003; Bethan who is a solo act from the church; All the Rage who are managed by Ben, with the vocals of Rebecca and the Numbnuts whose drummer is Tom - another church connection - and who have a superb brass section.
The went very well and was very safe and all went according to plan.
A huge thank you to all the people who helped set up, and to all the adults who helped 'behind the scenes'. We can't wait to do another one in the summer

Help!

Does anyone have a DVD or Video of the sketch with I think the two Ronnies and John Cleese, where they represent different classes and say I look up to him because... or I look down on him because...

Prayers for 11:00 Sunday 11th Feb

Worship | Youth and Children

Hi

Would anyone like to write or submit directly to me, some ideas for Intercessions / Prayers for other people for Sunday morning please?

Even better would be if you would like to write and read a short one of your own.

Questions and Answers

Worship | Youth and Children

I've just realised how long it is since I last used my blog, too much has happened to tell you now, but for the new year I've dusted it down and here is my first post.

At 11:30 Service on Sunday 31st December we looked at the gospel reading of Jesus as a boy going to the temple with his parents.
The reading talks of him questioning the teachers in the temple.

Holiday Club Part 2

Youth and Children

My last post told you a bit about the early part of Holiday Club.

On Thursday afternoon, the young people went to the Old Operating Theatre and Herb Garret in the roof of St. Thomas' Church and part of the old St. Thomas' Hospital. This had just about enough gore to keep everyone interested, including a pickled brain.

Holiday Club so far

Youth and Children

Holiday Club so far...

Don't worry I'm not going to go through everything we've done in minute detail...

But, where else can you find homemade pasta with spinach and ricotta filling and homemade tomato sauce with Kimbab/Korean pancake? Especially when all the cooks were under 15?

What’s the most fun you can have on a Friday night?

How about a train ride to a local menagerie, with a rocket lolly thrown in and a bus ride home?
